May 2006
Czech Quality for Osh Beer

Beer Academy, LLC, an Osh beer company, contacted the RTP component in October 2004 requesting assistance in its search for a supplier of malt.

Having researched the database of malt suppliers, Edilbek Konurbaev, an EDP Trade Specialist, found Sladovny Soufflet CP, a.s., a Czech company. Eventually, in September 2004 Sladovny Soufflet CP a.s. shipped the requested batch of 16 tons of malt to Osh.
The Beer Academy’s SAP, developed by Relationship Manager Luiza Mamarasulova, set an increase in sales of Academy Gold beer brand at the local market among the company’s goals for 2006. In addition, another important goal was established – to sustain a stable quality of beer. In order to achieve the goals above, the company contacted the RTP component of EDP again in February 2006.

With assistance of Trade Specialist Atay Almanbetov the Beer Academy placed a new order with Sladovny Soufflet CP, a.s. for the malt needed. Sladovny’s commercial offer and prices remained the same and in May 2006 the Beer Academy received 16 tons of malt (in a 20-ton container).  The transaction value totaled $8,900.
